The Mill House is a beautiful detached, Grade II Listed Georgian farmhouse situated in a quiet country lane. It has spectacular views across fields to the downs and is a ten-minute walk from the sea at Brighstone Bay. Across the lane is a pleasant ten-minute walk beside the stream, which leads to the picturesque village of Brighstone with its village shops, family friendly pub, gift shop, library and children’s play park. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is a marvellous walking and cycling area and footpaths can be followed from The Mill House to join coastal and inland paths leading to Tennyson Downs and the Needles. The sandy bays of Compton, Totland and Colwell are a short drive away as are the small towns of Freshwater, Ventnor and Yarmouth offering a choice of restaurants and shops. Children of all ages are welcome, as are well behaved pets (by arrangement).
The Mill House has been renovated to a high standard with many original features retained and has been awarded the VisitEngland five star Gold award since 2009.
